Nagura Ian
"Ikku" / Red Robo
The American son of the Japanese Dr.
Nagura Scott, Ian - or, as he prefers to be
called, Ikku - has been involved in
Project: Roboman for two years. Although he
initially tried hard to learn how to use and
operate the robosuit effectively, he was not able
to keep up to the standard expected by the
project staff and, in the end, was kept on the
sidelines in favour of Sei. Ikku is enthusiastic,
determined, honest and compassionate - but can
sometimes allow his honesty and kindness to
become a hindrance.
First Appearance: Roboman #1

Sei / Blue Robo
Very little is known about Sei. He came
to Project: Roboman only a few months before the
assault on Blizzard Base Zero, but seemed to
master the robosuit's powers almost immediately.
Beyond that, he has an exceptionally symmetrical
appearance and displays a high level of
intelligence. Sei is often very secretive, but
tends to come through with the crunch - although
his secrecy and apparent lack of compassion puts
him at odds with Ian.
First Appearance: Roboman #1

Sato Kiko / Yellow Robo
Kiko is a young scientist who studied
hard to follow in the footsteps of her idol,
Nagura Scott, and was astonished when he hired
her to work at Blizzard Base Zero on Project:
Roboman. Kiko has not revealed much of her past,
but not because she has secrets to keep - there
just hasn't been time! Loyal, kind and
compassionate, she is the only Roboman working to
help offset Trick's expenses in accommodating
them. She is Senshi's younger sister, and
dislikes him immensely for something he did when
they were children, which caused him to leave
home. Kiko has only slightly above-average
intelligence, but has dedicated a lot of time and
study to Nagura's work. Kiko is especially kind
and considerate, even moreso than Ian, but tends
to lack the determination and confidence to fully
see things through, often turning to Sei for
answers and to Ikku to follow-through.
First Appearance: Roboman #1

Sato Senshi / Black Robo
Senshi was the deputy head of security
on Science Island, second only to Dr. Rose
Brachis, until he left the island with Sei
moments before it was destroyed. He is determined
and hungry for power, but can also be quite
compassionate - he would rather do the right
thing, even if it interferes with his personal
goals, than behave immorally and get what he
wants. Senshi keeps his private life private, and
has revealed only that he left home at a very
early age due to a difference of opinion with his
Kiko. He is determined to capture Sorceress Miko,
almost obsessively so, and likes his life to be
simple and orderly. Senshi was given the black
robosuit by Trick and became Black Robo when the
three main Robomen were captured by robots
deployed by Doctor Nagura.
First Appearance: Roboman #1

Murakami Kageki / Green
Robo
Kageki is a hyper-enthusiastic young
customer-cum-employee at Trick Star's 'Hey,
Pizza!' in New Orleans. He enjoys spending time
with both Trick and the Robo Team, and loves
bizarre pizza toppings! He will go to great
lengths to be helpful, but doesn't realise that
he often gets on people's nerves for being too
nice! Kageki has shown that he can 'think
outside the square', often coming up with
creative solutions to complex problems, and as
much as he respects Trick, he idolises Ikku.
He wore the green robosuit and became Green Robo
despite both Trick and Doctor Brachis instructing
him not to, although Cog considers him the best
candidate for becoming Green Robo.
First Appearance: Roboman #6
|
 |
Trick Star
Trick Star owns and operates the 'Hey,
Pizza!' restaurant in New Orleans and is the only
person outside of Project: Roboman, or the Earth
Defence/Leadership Directorate hierarchy, to be
aware of the Robo Team's true identities - but he
has kept his own history to himself, with the
exception of revealing to Senshi that he used to
be a detective. He has expressed a dislike of the
EDD and the Black Battalion, and never seems
fazed by the Robo Team's adventures. He has made
it clear that he cares greatly for Kiko, and has
taken a hard line with Ikku and Senshi regarding
the welfare of Kageki and Kiko.
First Appearance: Roboman #4

 |
Cog
A two-inch tall, female robot present
when Doctor Nagura first discovered Blizzard Base
Zero. Cog is intimately familiar with all of
Doctor Nagura's technology and other aspects of
Project: Roboman, but has no memory of her past
before being found and awakened by Doctor Nagura.
First Appearance: Roboman #11
|
 |
Damien Sinclair / Guardian
Damien Sinclair was a captain in the
Science Island guard and a
rival of Senshi until he was selected as the main
candidate for
Director Satoshi Kakeru's Operation: Guardian. He
is loud,
arrogant and over-the-top, but keeps his word -
if he can be
pressured into giving it.
First Appearance: Roboman #5
|
|
Dr.
Rose Brachis
Dr. Rose Brachis was the head of
security on Science Island up until its
destruction and is an accomplished physicist. She
took the role in order to get access to Director
Satoshi Kakeru's Operation: Guardian. Since
Satoshi's betrayal becoming public and Nagura's
transformation by Jinsei, Brachis has found
herself to be more and more without direction,
although both Sato Senshi and Damien Sinclair
have shown that they retain some loyalty
to her.
First Appearance: Roboman #1
|
 |
Director Satoshi Kakeru
Director Satoshi commanded all aspects
of Science Island - until he organised its
destruction - and works privately on his own
Operation: Guardian. He is eccentric, keeping his
office dark and bare, but can show that he is
quite intelligent and exceptionally aware of what
is going on around him. Although he specialises
in robotics, he is not as advanced as Nagura
Scott, and his attempts to create sentient robots
have not been as successful as Nagura's.
First Appearance: Roboman #7

Dr.
Nagura Scott
Dr. Nagura Scott is an accomplished
scientist in the area of
biorobotics and one of the founding members of
both the EDD and Science Island. He left Science
Island within weeks of its establishment to
operate Blizzard Base Zero and develop Project:
Roboman. He is Ian's adoptive father, and does
not trust his son to operate a robosuit
competently. He speaks very slowly, and has a
dark history with Sorceress Miko, who he claims
'killed his son'. After having an implant
installed in his head and being transformed by
Jinsei, Dr. Nagura has regressed to one-third of
his age, his speech difficultires have
disappeared, but he has become slightly insane,
believing that the Robomen and Brachis have
betrayed him and must be destroyed. Jinsei's
transformation has replaced almost all of his
skin with metal, and with mechanical components
piercing his skin it has been suggested that he
is being transformed on the inside as well.
First Appearance: Roboman #1

Sorceress
Miko
Sorceress Miko, with her exceptionally
pale skin and pink hair, is no stranger to
villainy. In 2008, she attempted to help summon a
powerful creature named Zuvaal to Earth but was
stopped by the efforts of the Eternity Guard. Her
'magickal' powers tend to be limited to
travelling vast distances across space, but she
can also create 'pixie dust', which is used to
grow small, six-inch women who appear identical
to her and share her powers to some extent. She
despises Nagura Scott and wants him to suffer
miserably, and is loyal to the same 'master' as
Director Satoshi. She has misread Senshi's
obsession with her as lust, and been embarrassed
by his rejection of her. It has been revealed
that at least one magickal enclave in New Orleans
is loyal to both her and her 'master'. She lives
in New Orleans, in a home owned by Amy Seaward.
First Appearance: Roboman #1

 |
Jinsei
Very little is known about Jinsei. He
appears, physically, to be the perfect human
being, with defined muscles, perfectly
proportionate limbs and precisely symmetrical
features - the only thing that seems odd is his
red skin! He possesses the ability to control the
evolution of all living things, but only within
certain boundaries. He loves organic things and
hates unnatural environments like buildings - or
Blizzard Base Zero, where he posed as 'Dr. John
Smith', a scientist supposedly loyal to Dr.
Nagura. He does not care much either way when it
comes to working with Miko, but is fiercely loyal
to their secretive master.
First Appearance (as Dr. Smith):

Amy
Seaward
Amy Seaward is Kiko's very wealthy,
twenty-five year old employer. She own the store
where Kiko works as well as a number of
properties in New Orleans, and is the title
holder on Sorceress Miko's house. She has made it
clear that she finds Ikku attractive and knows
that he is Red Robo.
First Appearance: Roboman #27

Wayne
Rogers
Wayne Rogers is a television news
reporter who first came to the attention of the
Robomen when his station, NOTA, was attacked by
Musen Robo. They destroyed Musen Robo, but not
until after it entered the station and carried
out a secret mission. Since then, Rogers has
hosted the nightly, 11pm news program RoboWatch,
and offered a $10,000 USD reward for
information exposing the identities of the
Robomen.
First Appearance: Roboman #34

Warwolf
Warwolf's identity is unknown to all but
Sorceress Miko. He knows who the Robomen are and
has used ansuz energy; he also seems
able to alter his appearance at will.
